White stripe

Shoes- River Island

This dress is comfy and cosy. It's been perfect to lazy around in but I also love it with these big heels. Another favorite from Front Row Shop.

In other news I'm really enjoying the new Foster the people's album supermodel. I highly recommend giving it a listen. It's dancey and psychedelic vibe has kept my sprits high this week.

Sometimes it feels like I only dream in black and white

Infinity joggers- Long Clothing*
Shoes- Topshop
Belly Bar & Crystal Plugs- BodyJewelleryPiercing.com*

This is one of my favourite recent shoots. I'm really Impressed at the variety of recent locations we've managed to find. This particular set was shot at Burnage cricket club where the 60 year old bar manager chuckled at me walking across the pitch in stilettos.

I love this style of clothing at the moment and Long Clothing are one of my current favourites. I've been itching to wear these joggers but the weather has been uncharacteristically warm for the UK and my office is an un air conditioned sweat box. I bought the top for cheap in the sale at Motel Rocks and I've found it surprisingly useful. I sometimes get caught up buying printed/interesting tops and bottoms and forget it's good to have plain things to.

I bought an entire 60 track compilation of Deep House off iTunes just for this one track and as it tunes out I really love the whole album.

And now they're playing your song

Dress- Loving Youth*
Sunglasses- Missguided*
Shoes- Ebay

Loving youth are a lush brand bringing a mixture of fashion and vintage pieces, stocked in Topshop concessions and you can also find them on Asos Marketplace. We also shot some of their pieces at the Vauhaus studio day which you can see on my Instagram.

I had a bit of a fail today. I took the wrong Motor-way junction and I was so deep in thought I drove 25 miles in the wrong direction before I started seeing big blue signs for North Wales and realized something was amiss. Turns out I'd driven all the way to Chester (I live in Manchester) So I eventually turned round they entire journey took me an extra 50 minutes. I had actually decided to go swimming on the way home and when I finally arrived they informed me the pool wasn't open to the public on Mondays. Double fail. I did however eventually manage to make it to a swimming pool and I feel all the better for managing to make it in spit of all the mishaps!

Festival style with Misguided

Top- Forever 21
Pants- Misguided*
Shoes- Hood boyz*

The lovely people at Misguided sent me this awesome festival survival kit which I've already had so much fun playing with. The unpredictable weather in England means you never really know how muddy a festival is going to get.

These pants are really lightweight and comfortable the material is really silky which makes them perfect for summer. I can see myself living in these.

What festivals is everyone going to this year?

Kenneth Cartel for Fresh Baked Goods South

Music producer Kenneth Cartel got in touch with me to shoot this alternative look book campaign for his collaboration with street-wear brand Fresh Baked Goods South for the FBGS winter collection.

"The alternative life campaign lookbook encompasses the diversity seen in different walks of life by showing understanding that we as people no matter our religion, sexuality, or race can find refuge in positive concepts and help bring change to the world"

The project features worldwide style, so we thought it would be cool to choose locations that give a personal insight into my world and lifestyle. Photographer Toria Brightside at Vauhaus shot the campaign with me.

They sent three pieces from the collection for me to style and we shot each look in a completely different setting. It is always fun scouting random locations, but this time it was nice to choose spaces that are a bit more personal to me.

The first set we shot in my bedroom. My wallpaper is pretty crazy, but It's nice to share this space on my blog. As I moved back home from my flat a few months ago it is fairly cluttered with furniture, and my clothes and accessories seem to very much take over the room.

The DŌJŌ Tee Initially was my least favorite item but it actually turned out to be my favorite. The logo on the chest is really striking, and it's nice to have a t-shirt with a logo print as opposed to a front placement. I worn this with my green pencil skirt, black bomber jacket and buffalo trainers and completed the look with a chunky silver chain. The t-shirt also had a polka dot turn back cuff which, is a really interesting extra detail.

The next look we shot in another room in my parents house. The Kaizoku zip hoody was really comfy I'd I've found myself wearing this to chill out in quite a lot since the shoot. It didn't clash quite as badly with my green hair as I thought it might do! I styled this with a cropped check shirt and grey skater skirt for a more casual look.

The final look we shot in one of my favorite parts of Manchester, the Northern Quarter. It's somewhere that I'm starting to visit a bit more often. There are some really lovely little cafes and loads of cocktail bars. I recently visited a cute restaurant called Home Sweet Home that had possibly the best sweet potato fries I've ever tasted! The day we initially went to shoot this look the heavens opened and it poured with rain all afternoon (not like Manchester at all) so we abandoned the shoot and took refuge in a nearby pub instead then returned to shoot the next day.

The Kaizoku tee I really loved. Again it has a really striking front print and the added sleeve prints look really cool. I styled this with black light weight jog pants, my favorite white chunky heels and threw my Vinti- Andrews mesh jacket over the top. I feel like my style is definitely becoming more street-wear inspired and I really enjoyed styling these pieces.

It was really exciting to be a part of this campaign I'm ever grateful to people that get in touch with me via my blog to collaborate with them. Hopefully the lookbook is also going to be released in a book later this year.
